SkyCaddie SG2.5 is great!
This product is very handy for any golfer. It was very simple to set up and is very easy to use. The SkyCaddie has taken 3-4 strokes off of the average score for both my husband and I.
SkyCaddie SG2.5 product review
It does what is advertised. The most confusing part of using the product is finding the distance of your last shot. Battery power is limited to about 2 rounds without a charge.

Skycaddie Leather Cover
The product is just what I expected so very satisfied. Dealing thru Amazon was excellent. ONLY negative was the cost of the product. Over $30 dollars for a tiny leather cover is ridiculous.
Definitely improves my game!
I’ve played with my SG2 for a few rounds and since then my best round dropped from a 95 to an 87 – twice in a row. It’s given me more confidence in my shots and has made the game a lot more fun – no more hunting for markers or sprinkler heads!
The first time I used it, I didn’t give it time to orient itself and it didn’t work at all. My bad.
Since then, I give it 10 minutes on my golf bag before a round to get oriented and it’s ready to go. It has worked perfectly. I purchased it because of the intelligreen feature and this has been worth every penny! Being able to target specific areas of the green and knowing its shape has saved me many strokes and is a real confidence booster when you’re shooting over hazards. The extra information is a lot more useful than just front, center, and back of the green, and it’s extra cool how the distance can be updated by moving the cursor to the exact point on the green you want to hit.
The four star courses are extremely well-mapped with and it’s easy to update the courses on the unit via the USB interface. I live in the San Diego area and all the courses I play around here have been mapped. It would be nice if it held more than 10 courses but that’s just being greedy.
And for you Mac-heads like me, their software works great with my new iMac, no problems at all.
If you like to golf and you have all the right clubs, this should be your next investment. It’s not cheap but it’s less than the price of a good hybrid. (And you”ll always be the most popular golfer in your foursome!)

A great golf industry company
The first unit I purchased had a defective satelite receiver. I had to mail it back. SkyCaddie has a great website and the email response for problems is within one day. I sent the unit back to Amazon and SkyCaddie re-instated my membership on the new unit. The company is true to their word.
As for golfing, the device is priceless. No matter where you are on the course, you know yardage to targets and trouble. The “intelligreen” technology is great. You know the size of the green and as soon as you see the pin you can figure yardage to the pin location. No more guesswork on approaches. I played a course for the first time and had no hesitation is club selection. LOVE IT.
Works OK but don’t buy because of lack of support
We all know that this thing works OK & gives reasonable accurate yardage to the green. BUT-the customer support is pathetic! Difficult software that works marginal at best, requires yearly fees and when I upgraded my service & paid $20 only to find out it was only good for 2 months. When I call “customer support” “if you can get through”, they are very argumentative & condescending.
